Empowering Young Artists
The Warren Arts Access and Advocacy Foundation dedicates itself to making performing arts more accessible to various communities. We offer our expertise, time, and financial resources to support young aspirants in their artistic pursuits. Students in grades 4 through 8 are eligible to apply for scholarships. These scholarships can cover a range of needs, including musical instruments, uniforms, training, lessons, camps, and schooling, providing vital assistance in their journey towards excellence in the arts.

WHY THE ARTS

Welcome to the Warren Arts Access and Advocacy Foundation, founded by myself Andrea Warren. My daughter Adrienne Warren was born in Hampton Roads and like so many other children she was gifted with the arts. From the time she was just a little girl she loved to perform and we were fortunate enough to be able to support her goals and ambitions in theater, dance and music. She leapt into the limelight with her Tony-nominated performance in Broadway's Shuffle Along. She then won the Tony, Drama Desk, Drama League, Antonyo, and Outer Critics Circle awards for her riveting portrayal of a rock/soul superstar in Broadway's Tina: The Tina Turner Musical, and she also received an Olivier nomination for the show's London engagement.
As a former Executive Director of the Governor's School for The Arts and the current President & CEO of the Virginia Beach Symphony, I understand firsthand the challenges talented children face due to limited resources. I believe that every child, with adequate support, can achieve greatness in the arts and is the cornerstone of our foundation. My goal is to help all children pursue their dreams as performing artists.
